Caddo Career & Technology Center
Since there isn't a meeting for December, we decided to take a look at our local Caddo Career and Technology Center. Chris Shepherd is well known in the Collision Industry in Northwest Louisiana. He was the Instructor for Northwest Louisiana College in their Collision program. Now he has accepted a position with Caddo Career and Technology Center as their Collision Instructor. He took over the program and it was in need of some attention. Also, the Collision classrooms and shop were being air conditioned! Just look at the before pictures below and you'll get a sense of the challenge that was in front of Chris.
Chris' first order of business was to get the program "classrooms" clean. Chris spent hours obtaining his priority one goal. When he took over the program, there were twelve students. Now he has twenty eight. Chris has done an outstanding job with the Collision Program at CC&TC. He invites all the local Collision shop owners and managers to come by for a visit. See his program in action and meet some potential local talent.
Our first meeting of 2016 is January 5th, and we will be meeting at the new Bossier Parish School for Technology and Innovative Learning (map). This will be an actual tour of the new facility. We will be able to walk through the new Collision Program. Mark Monroe, Collision Instructor for Bossier Parish School for Technology and Innovative Learning, has been keeping us up-to-date during the construction phase. See you there.
